Town of Front Royal, Virginia

This beauty (and MANY others) are in need of homes <3 Take a peek and see who needs a cuddle and could keep your family company this cold winter! Humane Society of Warren CountyI'm adopted!!!! Yesssss!!!!

Mystery has been waiting at the shelter since April, so we have sent him into a temporary foster home, where he can get some extra love and attention until his family comes along!

He is a 4-5 year old neutered Male who immediately got comfortable in a home environment. No time hiding under the bed for this confident handsome cat!

He loves head and butt scratches and knows just what to do with the litter box! (Yay!) Having a panther in the house is really a wonderful blessing. We are told he is especially good at keeping your feet warm at night!

If you'd like to meet Mystery, fill out an application or give us a call. He is a total catch, and during October, his adoption fee is only $10!!!

He looks like my cat I had for 16 years before she died. Her name was Ninja and she had a personality to go along with the name. She grew up with my kids having gotten her at 8 weeks old where she was born to a barn cat on a farm. Special memories right there ❤️

The water that comes out of my faucets and toilets will streak or stain and sometimes leave a gritty rusty residue if I wait to clean them. I’ve never seen the hydrants flushed in my neighborhood including the one beside my house. I always see them flush them in loudoun county though. 🤷🏼‍♂️

And our benevolent leaders want to provide water to approximately 1000 new homes near Target, plus whatever in-town homes are arriving? Thank God for rain today. Maybe rationing can be postponed.

Exactly what i was going to say Susan MacIntyre....they tell us we can support more huge housing complexs.

The Town will be having contractor, Arthur Construction, paving N. Shenandoah Avenue and W. 14th St. All paving operations will be NIGHTWORK from 8pm-6am. The contractor has been delayed again. We hope to begin the paving October 13-November 1, 2019 (Weather Permitting).

N. Shenandoah Ave will be resurfaced from 18th Street to 14th Street.
W 14th Street will be resurfaced from N. Shenandoah Avenue to N. Royal Avenue.

Arthur Construction will be milling and paving within work zones to include lane shifts and flagging operations. Signs will be in place and be aware of uneven pavement surfaces while work is going on.

Town of Front Royal, Virginia

Town of Front Royal, Virginia is a public power community located in the northern Valley and Ridge region of Virginia, just a short drive west from Washington D.C. Orginially founded in 1754 under the name LeHewtown, it was incorporated as Front Royal in 1788. Though there is some debate, it is said that the town was named Front Royal after a command that was shouted during military drills for the soldiers to “front to the Royal Oak” that was located in the town square. Eventually, the order was shortened to “front royal,” and the name was born.

So we stop trying to work together for the good of the community just because some people have been accused of wrong doing but not tried and convicted...

Canceled or cancelled is the past tense of the verb to cancel. Both spellings are correct; Americans favor canceled (one L), while cancelled (two Ls) is preferred in British English and other dialects. However, there is only one correct spelling of the word cancellation, no matter where you are.

Has there been a fiscal impact study to show how these numbers will impact the overall picture? How were the new lower rates chosen? What is it based off of? When shown the numbers of other locality's rates, do those other localities include in that price the actual labor/work to do the install? Or are their tap fees just a fee for permission to hook up as has been the case in front royal?

Forgive my ignorance but this smells like a bunch of folks have been getting screwed for years. Why the change?? Why rates going from $21,938 to $5000? Why why why

Strange the proposed new lower rates comes when someone wants to build a development. Coincidence?

I thought they weren’t supplying water outside of town limits?

Council member who is also a builder...what a coincidence!

Wow

Program offers opportunity to meet local officers, discuss community issues

On October 2, 2019, officers from the Front Royal Police Department and community members will come together in an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee.

All community members are invited to attend. The event begins at 8:00am to 10:00am on October 2, 2019 at the Daily Grind located at 215 East Main Street, Front Royal. Please contact Sergeant Robbie Seal with any questions at (540) 635-2111 or rseal@frontroyalva.com.

Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in Front Royal’s neighborhoods.

The majority of contacts law enforcement has
with the public happen during emergencies, or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community, and some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

“We hope that community members will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, or simply get to know our officers,” said Police Chief Kahle Magalis. “These interactions are the foundation of community partnerships.”

Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Similar events are being held across the country, as local police departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.

The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.

I have had a business on Main St & have had many pleasant interactions with members of our police department. I think we are lucky to have them.

In 25 years I've lived here, this will be my 1st time meeting a cop. Maybe because I know how to behave myself!

Do you think you can fix all the soft spots in the base so that it doesn't look like John Marshall Hwy coming in from Linden. If they had listened to the contractor and some other folks who know roads, all the alligator cracked and sinking and pushing spots that were paved over last time wouldn't be there. But hey, it's only taxpayers money.

Hope all the pipe repair first....this town..lays new down..tears it up in pieces, patches it up...bump,thump all thru town

When will u be getting back to west 13th st

I wish you guys would resurface just before the lights, heading on to South St, 55 & 533 junction, between Rite Aid and KFC. I hate riding over that ‘wash board’ every time I come home 😞

200 days....two hundred days 😢🐾🐾
Perhaps there will not be 201....is there a warm cozy corner in your home??Since our longest resident Zen got adopted today, I'd love to introduce to our new longest, Esmerelda who has been at the shelter for 198 days.

Thursday will be her 200th day at the shelter. She will spend her 200th day in a foster home so we can see how she responds to a calmer environment. Esmerelda was surrendered after her owner died. Her son brought her in, a scared 11 month old plain jane tabby.

During her time at the shelter, she has not been looked at, but rather can be found trying to be as small as possible in the back corner of her kennel. Although she is not doing herself any favors, she deserves a home.

Ideally this sweet 1-1/2 year old spayed female will win the heart of a quiet family where she can take her time getting comfortable and no one asks her to rush or change who she is.

She wants a bed to hide under, and a gentle soft voice telling her it is ok to take her time. It's ok to be sad about the family you lost, sweet girl. Take all the time you need.
